Product Details

The hydraulic lifting saddle for terminal tractors is a hydraulically driven core load-bearing and quick-change connection component engineered for the high-frequency transfer of heavy cargo within ports and terminal yards. As a critical part of the quick-hitch hydraulic traction system, it forms an integrated quick-change traction system with the 90# traction pin device and the tongue hook connection mechanism. Its front end is rigidly connected to the chassis of terminal tractors via a high-strength mechanical structure, the middle section houses a hydraulically adjustable main lifting saddle body, and the rear end links with the tongue hook to achieve precise locking and disengagement with semi-trailers. It is the core equipment enabling terminal tractors to realize the separation of loading/unloading and transportation, as well as the rapid switching of semi-trailers. Leveraging mature hydraulic lifting technology and heavy-duty load-bearing structural design, this saddle is tailored to the high-load and high-reliability operational characteristics of terminal tractors. It seamlessly adapts to various engineering and logistics semi-trailers, including container semi-trailers, flatbed semi-trailers, dump trucks, steel scrap trough trucks, and steel coil transporters. It perfectly supports the large-scale, high-frequency cargo transfer demands of ports, terminals, logistics parks and other scenarios, and is a key supporting component for optimizing on-site logistics operation processes and improving equipment utilization efficiency.

This lifting saddle is core-adapted to the 90# traction pin standard, with its hydraulic lifting stroke professionally calculated based on working conditions, forming an interlocked control logic with the tongue hook connection mechanism: when the hydraulic system drives the saddle up to the working position, the tongue hook automatically locks the traction end of the semi-trailer, achieving rigid connection between the tractor and the semi-trailer and ensuring stability during transportation; when the saddle is hydraulically adjusted down to the lowest position, the tongue hook automatically unlocks and disengages from the semi-trailer, completing the rapid drop-and-hitch of the semi-trailer. No manual disassembly of connection components is required throughout the process, and semi-trailer switching can be achieved with one click, adapting to the fast-paced operational scenarios of terminals. Meanwhile, the main saddle body is integrally welded from high-strength alloy steel and processed through multiple procedures such as quenching and anti-corrosion treatment, boasting excellent impact resistance, wear resistance and deformation resistance. It can be long-term adapted to the harsh operational environment of terminals and meet the continuous load-bearing demands of heavy-duty semi-trailers.

Hydraulic Lifting Saddle

In terms of system compatibility, the lifting saddle is seamlessly integrated with the hydraulic and control systems of terminal tractors. The height of the saddle can be precisely adjusted via control buttons or hydraulic valves in the cab, featuring a smooth, jam-free lifting process and high positioning accuracy. The load-bearing surface of the saddle is treated for anti-slip and wear resistance, with a high fit with the traction end of the semi-trailer, effectively avoiding relative sliding during transportation and ensuring driving safety. In addition, the saddle features a compact overall structure with a lightweight design that also maintains load-bearing performance. It does not add extra ineffective load to the tractor, adapts to the overall power and load ratio of terminal tractors, and ensures driving stability during transportation.

Currently, this lifting saddle has become a standardized supporting component for terminal tractors. It can be slightly customized according to customers' tractor models, semi-trailer adaptation requirements and operational load demands, adapting to terminal tractors of different brands and tonnages. With easy installation, simple maintenance and few wearing parts, long-term stable operation can be guaranteed only through regular maintenance of the hydraulic system and inspection of structural components in the later stage. It is an essential core equipment for realizing fast change, high efficiency, flexibility and low cost in on-site terminal logistics.

1.One-click rapid drop-and-hitch, ultra-compact operational processBy adjusting the height of the lifting saddle, the device controls the connection and disengagement of the tongue hook with the semi-trailer. When the saddle is lowered to the lowest position, the tongue hook automatically unlocks and quickly disengages from the semi-trailer without tedious manual operations, enabling one-click rapid drop-and-hitch of semi-trailers. It completely separates loading/unloading operations from transportation links, with tractors only responsible for semi-trailer transfer, avoiding ineffective waiting of vehicles in the loading/unloading process. The operational process is more streamlined, and the efficiency of on-site transfer is greatly improved.

2.High load-bearing capacity and strong adaptability, compatible with various semi-trailers in all scenariosRelying on mature hydraulic and mechanical structural design, it meets the high-load operational demands of terminal tractors and can stably bear the transfer load of various heavy-duty semi-trailers. The lifting saddle supports free height adjustment and can accurately adapt to semi-trailers of different sizes, load capacities and chassis heights, including container semi-trailers, flatbed semi-trailers, dump trucks, steel scrap trough trucks, steel coil transporters, etc. A single tractor can be matched with multiple types of operational semi-trailers, featuring strong multi-scenario compatibility, eliminating the need to configure exclusive tractors for different semi-trailers.

3.Optimized vehicle ratio, significant reduction in comprehensive operating costsIt supports the scientific optimization of the ratio of tractors to semi-trailers (a conventional ratio of 1:2/1:3 is applicable). A single tractor can be matched with multiple semi-trailers for cyclic operation, greatly reducing the demand for the purchase quantity of tractors and directly cutting equipment procurement costs. At the same time, the reduction in the number of tractors also synchronously lowers the daily maintenance, repair, fuel/electricity and other operation and maintenance costs of vehicles, achieving an all-round reduction in the operating costs of on-site logistics.

4.Improved vehicle turnover rate, adapted to high-frequency transfer demandsThe quick drop-and-hitch design allows tractors to avoid waiting for the loading and unloading of semi-trailers. After completing the semi-trailer transfer, the tractor can immediately connect to the next to-be-transported semi-trailer, significantly increasing the proportion of effective operating time of tractors and achieving a notable improvement in vehicle turnover rate. It is perfectly adapted to the large-scale, high-frequency cargo transfer scenarios of terminals, meets the high operational volume demands of on-site logistics, and helps improve the overall production and operation efficiency.

5.Mature and stable technology, safe and durable operationThe core hydraulic lifting system and mechanical connection structure both adopt mature designs with strong component compatibility. The locking is firm and the unlocking is smooth during operation without jam faults, effectively ensuring the stability and safety of semi-trailer transportation. The device has excellent overall wear resistance and impact resistance, adapts to the harsh operational environment of terminals, and features a long service life. It reduces equipment downtime due to faults and further lowers maintenance costs.
