Hot Billet Transport Trailer

There are two structural types of Hot Billet Transport Trailer: one is the single-vehicle type, and the other is the semi-trailer type. Its composition includes: a tractor (chassis vehicle), an insulated body, a hydraulic automatic opening and closing system, a semi-trailer chassis assembly, electrical and control systems, etc.

1. Insulated box and hydraulic automatic opening and closing mechanism

The heat insulation and preservation box is a key part of the entire equipment, mainly consisting of ① the heat insulation and preservation box body; ② Hot steel billet; ③ Steel billet support composition. The heat insulation and preservation box body is composed of two fixed box bodies at both ends, a top cover box and side box bodies, etc. Its dimensions and the overall weight of the vehicle are determined according to the different billet specifications transported by the steel plant.

The exterior of the box body is framed with high-quality steel pipes, while the interior is lined with high-temperature resistant, well-insulating and easy-to-fill insulation materials, with an effective thickness of 100-150mm. The design blocks all thermal Bridges, forming a completely enclosed heat insulation body. At the same time, in order to enhance the insulation effect and reduce heat loss, the fixing parts of the insulation materials all adopt an internal structure, thereby reducing thermal Bridges.

Due to the diverse fixtures used by various steel mills for loading and unloading billets, in order to meet the requirements of each steel mill for loading and unloading billets, the insulation box body is designed as a foldable and openable type. The feature of this box body is that when closed, it is a closed insulation body, and when opened and closed, the upper cover plate and side panel can be fully opened, located below the upper plane of the semi-trailer (frame) beam, thus expanding the space for loading and unloading billets. At the same time, it broadens the field of vision of the operators handling steel billets, facilitating the loading and unloading of steel billets.

2. Automatic opening and closing mechanism

It is composed of a four-bar linkage mechanism, a hydraulic drive system, etc. The unique design and reasonable clearance ensure that the opening and closing are synchronized without any jamming. It can ensure that it will not get stuck due to thermal deformation.

The hydraulic system is equipped with a self-locking function to ensure that during the opening and closing process of the insulation box, the opening and closing mechanism of the insulation box does not slide off by itself when it stops at any position, or to prevent it from accelerating to descend after passing the center of mass position when it is opened.

It has a system overload protection function.

3. Electrical

The electrical system consists of electrical circuits, a battery, an insulation box opening and closing control box, a remote control, a reversing display, a camera, rearview lights, and a sound and light alarm device. It can be controlled by both wired and wireless means.
