Product Details

The hot metal carrier is a special vehicle mainly used for transporting steel (aluminum) ladles and steel (aluminum) slag ladles. Its main function is to realize the transfer transportation of hot metal from the blast furnace to the converter in a high-temperature liquid environment, meeting the smelting process of one ladle to the end.

 

This type of vehicle is an upgraded product elaborately developed by our company, integrating more than 20 years of experience in R&D and manufacturing of rail and road vehicles as well as special vehicles for the metallurgical industry. It takes a leading position in the industry and owns patented technologies. In particular, the heavy-duty hot metal carriers with a load capacity of more than 100 tons are unique, which meets the demand of steel mills for continuous capacity expansion.

 

1.Main Structure::The frame is made of high-quality carbon steel from first-tier brands, with structural design optimized by finite element analysis. It is manufactured by adopting ship block construction technology and mortise and tenon joint technology, followed by final assembly, featuring high production efficiency, sturdiness and durability. The main beam adopts a box structure with high strength and light weight. The central main load-bearing part is of a sunken type to reduce the overall vehicle height and ensure driving stability and safety. The support is designed with internal reinforcing ribs to ensure effective and stable load-bearing of the steel ladle; in addition, a guiding device and a steel ladle limiting device are installed on the upper part of the support to ensure stability during transportation and precise positioning during hoisting and unloading, greatly improving driving safety and hoisting/unloading efficiency.

 

2.Running System: According to different load sizes and road conditions, the running part adopts various structural types such as reinforced and lengthened special axles, and first-tier double axles (two-line four axles). The tires are special heavy-duty crown tires for iron and steel enterprises, featuring wear resistance, puncture resistance and a long service life.

3. Support and Traction Pin Device

 

The support can adopt large-tonnage mechanical or hydraulic outriggers. Mechanical outriggers are generally used for loads below 60 tons, and hydraulic outriggers are adopted for loads above 80 tons.

 

Traction pin shaft: heavy-duty 90# assembled type, matched with a 16mm traction plate.

 

4.Brake System: A dual-circuit brake system is adopted. Copper pipes are used for pneumatic pipelines, and rubber hoses are used for relatively moving parts, all of which are provided with heat insulation protection.

 

5.Electrical System: All electrical wiring harnesses are threaded through steel pipes without exposure, and all are provided with heat insulation and fixing measures. Lamps are equipped with protective devices, and the whole vehicle is fitted with flashing warning lights to ensure driving safety.

 

6.Others: The specific dimensions of the whole vehicle and the layout of supports are determined according to technical requirements and on-site service conditions.
